David is a clinical and rehabilitation psychologist with an assessment and brief therapy practice for adults. He has been in active independent practice as a registered psychologist in BC since 2001. His training before that included two post doctoral fellowships, one at Vancouver General Hospital Department of Psychology/Psychiatric Assessment Unit, and the second at The University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine. He earned his PhD. in Clinical Psychology from the Faculty of Science at McGill University, Montreal with doctoral internship's at Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal. David also earned a Certified Substance Abuse Expert designation in 2006.
David has served as a Senior Psychological Advisor for WorkSafeBC and consulted for many clinical rehabilitation organizations including LifeMark Health Services, The M. Jackson Group Rehabilitation Psychology, Orion Health, Oxford Outcomes, and has been a Clinical Co-Ordinator at UBC. David has also served as the Vice President of the BC Psychological Association, and as Chair of the Section on Health Psychology of the Canadian Psychological Association. he presently also consults at Iscope Concussion and Pain Clinics.
David provides a range of clinical psychological assessments and medical-legal reporting which can include opinions on diagnosis (including of ADHD and cognitive impairments), prognosis, causality, ratings of psychological impairment or disability (such as for LTD or fitness OT work). David also provides evidence-based psychological treatment and rehabilitation planning. He also supervises treatment and provides brief evidenced-based psychological treatment (such as mindfulness-based cognitive behaviour therapy, paced reactivation, systematic desensitization, acceptance and solution-focused therapy).
David works with clients 19 yrs of age and older.
